Details: The location of this beach front hotel is fantastic! It's near the Malecon, but away enough to enjoy quiet too. The Barefoot Bar is fun to go up to after a day of swimming. Their pool was freezing cold & the jacuzzi wasn't warm. I went in the pool anyway because it was so hot outside. My only criticism is that in the mornings sometimes there was some kind of a sewage smell. It would go away as the day went on, but it was kinda gross. Overall, I liked this hotel. I felt safe, and they brought us plenty of bottled water, and the maids made up the room daily. The price is right too. I don't know if that smell was typical of San Felipe since this was my first visit.
